In 2023, McCain Food Service realised that the way people are eating is changing, especially when in a social environment. McCain further realised that when out with friends, most people prefer to nibble on different kinds of foods as opposed to having a whole meal and in response to this, McCain FS launched their Crowd-pleasing Appetiser range, which are easy-to-make, appetisers that restaurants, bars and pubs could serve to guests as starters and/or as part of a meal. The main objective was to drive demand of the product range through a sampling campaign directly aimed at restaurant patrons.

Our Vibe

VIBE Conceptualized “Love at First Bite” which was a McCain Pop-up tasting experience that offered selected casual diners, and Pubs and bars, the opportunity to introduce the McCain “Crowd-pleasing Appetiser range” to their customers, and appetize their hearts & mouths to fall in love with these starters from the first bite! 

The Results

Our campaign went to GP, KZN and CPT over a 6-week period and our sampling campaign reached over 5 000 people through 40 restaurants in our key target cities.
